I was wondering if you could pass this around.
I am looking for any conditions/advisory notes that anyone may use on a DA consent in relation to section J.

Damon,

GCC use the following general conditions which you may be able to use/modify to suit. They may need to be reviewed to ensure they are consistant with BCA2011.

Depending upon the complexity of the proposal it may be OK to request some of these prior to OC, but generally I have found prior to CC is more appropriate to ensure these matters aren't overlooked and form part of the CC approval so contracters aren't shrugging their shoulders at Final Insp stage.

Pt J Conds

Artificial lighting within the building must be controlled in accordance with Pt J6.3 of the Building Code of Australia R-Values for the Roof/Ceiling, External Walls and Floor forming part of the building envelope are to be submitted verifying compliance with Part J1 of the Building Code of Australia prior to the issue of the Construction Certificate.

Proposed skylights serving the building are to comply with Pt J1.4 of the Building Code of Australia. Details of compliance are submitted and approved by the principle Certifying Authority to prior to installation

The concrete floor slab shall have continuous insulation installed around the vertical edge of its perimeter. The insulation shall have a R-Value of not less than 1 and be continuous from adjacent finished ground level to a depth of 300mm or the full depth of the vertical edge of the slab

External glazing is to comply with Part J2 of the Building Code of Australia. Details of compliance including calculations are to be submitted prior to the issue of the Construction Certificate.

A seal to restrict air infiltration must be fitted to each edge of a door or openable window forming part of the external fabric of the building or exposed to the atmosphere.

Prior to the issue of the Construction Certificate it will be necessary to provide details and certification that the Air Conditioning and ventilation System has been designed to comply with Part J5 of the Building Code of Australia.

Artificial Lighting and Power for the proposed building are to comply with Part J6.2, J6.3 and J6.5 of the Building Code of Australia. Details of lighting design are to be provided prior to the issue of the Construction Certificate
